Spend a few minutes walking the halls of our Lower School buildings, and you will see and hear the excitement and energy of our youngest Raiders! Our loving and nurturing teachers create an inviting environment for our students to learn and grow in mind, body and spirit. The Lower School provides a firm foundation in academic instruction with well-balanced and thorough preparation at every level. Southland students enjoy a variety of enrichment classes such as music, computer, Spanish, physical education, and art. Special programs such as Veterans Day, Christmas, and Grandparents Day allow the students to share their gifts with our school family while developing pride and self confidence. Teachers begin each day with devotion time to help our students grow spiritually which sets the tone for a safe and loving environment. The Lower School strives to help each child develop a sense of purpose, as well as a strong academic foundation, while fostering a love of learning.
