Carol Burrell has been a part of the Southland family for eleven years. She currently serves as Upper School Counselor and Assistant Cross Country Coach. A native of Blakely, GA, Carol graduated from Southwest Georgia Academy. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child and Family Development from The University of Georgia, a Master Degree in School Counseling from Columbus State University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Education Leadership from Albany State University. She spent nine years as a School Counselor with various age groups in other systems before moving to Southland. She and her husband, Jay, have been married for 22 years. They have two daughters who are students at Southland; Jadie is a senior, and Gracie is a freshman.
